The Convergence Review is an independent review established by the Australian Government to examine the policy and regulatory frameworks that apply to the converged media and communications landscape in Australia.
The Convergence Review Committee is chaired by Glen Boreham with Malcolm Long and Louise McElvogue as committee members.

Convergence Review Milestones
14 December 2010: The Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy, released the draft Terms of Reference for the Convergence Review for public consultation.
January 2011: ASTRA made a submission in relation to the draft Terms of Reference for the Review.
2 March 2011: The Minister announced the final Terms of Reference for the Convergence Review. The Terms of Reference are available here
The Minister also announced that Mr Glen Boreham would chair the Convergence Review Committee, which will include Mr Malcolm Long. On 21 April 2011, the Minister announced Louise McElvogue as the third member of the Convergence Review Committee. Profiles of the Committee members are available on the DBCDE website
28 April 2011: The Convergence Review Committee released a framing paper for the Review and issued a call for submissions. The framing paper outlines the Committee’s initial thinking on a number of principles that could inform the Committee in its conduct of the review. The framing paper is available on the DBCDE website
10 June 2011: ASTRA made a submission to the Convergence Review Framing Paper.
6 July 2011: The Convergence Review Committee released an Emerging Issues Paper and a revised timetable with final submissions due by 28 October 2011.
22 August 2011: ASTRA made a submission in response to the Emerging Issues Paper.
19 September 2011: The Review Committee released five detailed discussion papers on major themes for the Review.
4 November 2011: ASTRA made its final submission to the Convergence Review including a supporting report by Deloitte Access Economics.
15 December 2011: The Review Committee released an Interim Report outlining its proposed recommendations.
10 February 2012: ASTRA submitted its response to the Interim Report.
