Andrew Maiden is a media executive based in Sydney, Australia.
After completing degrees in economics and law, Andrew served as an advisor, press secretary and chief-of-staff to senior Australian political figures including the federal Minister for Finance.
He joined the private sector in 2000, heading Telstra’s public affairs, media relations, sustainability and corporate reputation teams before consulting to large enterprises. In these roles Andrew led communications, regulatory and government relations initiatives for local and global organisations across a diverse range of industry sectors.
After twenty years advising cabinet ministers, chief executives and boards, in 2013 Andrew joined the media industry as CEO of ASTRA, the peak body representing Australian subscription television platforms, channel providers and communications companies..
