Duane Hatherly is the Director of Production & Head of LifeStyle Channels Foxtel Networks Australia.
Hatherly began his career with FOXTEL in July 1996, shortly after the company began operations. His tenure has seen him work across many broadcast divisions, including graphics, creative services, production and channel management. He was appointed to the role of Channel Manager for FOX8 in September 2004 and led the channel to top-rating success. Over the years he has managed numerous channels including Bio, Arena, The Comedy Channel and 111 HITS.
Following the merge of Foxtel and Austar in 2012, Duane was appointed to the role of GM of LifeStyle Channels and Head of Production. Production responsibilities expanded to encompass all of Foxtel’s un-scripted programming across the key genres- and in GM terms, the LifeStyle group is home to some of the most active and profitable channels.
Some highlights in overseeing production include many series of Australia’s Next Top Model, Project Runway Australia, Dating in the Dark Australia, Rove LA, Football Superstar and Cricket Superstar plus Grand Designs Australia, Selling Houses Australia, Location, Location, Location Australia, River Cottage Australia, Paddock to Plate, Village Vets, Coast Australia and Aussie Pickers along with a couple of recent hits in The Recruit and The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
