Kay Pavlou

Kay Pavlou is a multi-award-winning director. Born in Australia to Greek Cypriot parents, her stories transverse subjects and worldwide locations. Kay’s career has been split between drama and documentary; fact and fiction.

In drama, Kay has directed McLEOD'S DAUGHTERS, ALL SAINTS and LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD. Kay's short film, THE KILLING OF ANGELO TSAKOS and her feature film, MARY, were both produced by Rosemary Blight, Goalpost Pictures.

In documentary, Kay has directed several episodes of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? (Magda Szubanski, Michael O’Loughlin and Adam Goodes), FAMILY CONFIDENTIAL (The Costellos), MONUMENTAL VISION – China (Landscape art), FAMILY FOOTSTEPS (Armenia and Tonga), SUSPICION MINDS (Forensic cases), DESPERATELY SEEKING SHEILA (rural bachelors find their love match), GANGS OF OZ (dramatizations of real crimes) NOT A BEDROOM WAR (International women leaders meet in Ireland), PIRATE PATROL (Australian Navy in the Arabian Gulf) and CYPRUS – A PEOPLE DIVIDE.

Kay formed the company Dream TV, alongside Mark Patterson of Go Patterson Films. She was Series Director and co-Producer with Mark, for RACE TO LONDON, a series for ABC1.
