Tracey Vieira

Tracey Vieira is the Chief Executive Officer for Screen Queensland having joined the agency in February 2014.

Screen Queensland is the Queensland Governments key agency supporting the screen industry through various mechanisms. This includes development and production funding, supporting innovation through evolving platforms and risk-taking content, backing the development of individuals and businesses through enterprise funding, international market support and ensuring that through Australian creative development that local stories inform, entertain, educate and inspire both in Australia and internationally.  

Prior to Screen Queensland, Tracey led Ausfilm’s Los Angeles office as the Executive Vice President – International Production – a position she held since 2004.

At Ausfilm Tracey was responsible for marketing Australia’s film capabilities including tax incentives for offshore productions, matching Australian producers with international development and financing and pitching locations to attract production to Australia.

She has worked on securing productions including Fox’s Modern Family, Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean 5, New Line’s San Andreas, Universal Pictures, Unbroken, Walden Media’s Nim’s Island, Twentieth Century Fox’s, The Wolverine, USA Network’s television mini-series The Starter Wife and HBO Film’s event television series The Pacific. 

Tracey is a Board member of Australians in Film and Ausfilm International and is the former President of Australians in Film.

Tracey has held a number of senior roles in the entertainment industry including as the Executive Manager of Locations and International Production for the Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC) and as a senior team member at Queensland Events Corporation where she was responsible for the marketing, corporate branding and communications of the company.  Tracey graduated from Queensland University of Technology and was awarded the QUT Outstanding Alumni Aware for Education in 2014. Tracey also studied in California at San Jose State majoring in Film.
